Mercantile Exchange St. Louis Lifestyle District
A master-planned and built community in downtown St. Louis is burgeoning on becoming the most popular neighbourhood in the city with a great mix of retail, residential and commercial spaces. The St. Louis Mercantile Exchange district, also code named the “MX” is all about having fun, working hard and enjoying company.

A pulsating energy resonates through the streets of the Mercantile Exchange and the first phase of this real estate development is The Laurel luxury condos. Downtown Saint Louis will never be the same. From MX real estate developers and planners to the general public there is an excitement about this masterplanned community that will transform St. Louis downtown into a great city centre complete with all amenities, conveniences, sports, office space, retail and much much more.

What’s up with MX Saint Louis?
Coming on the heals of their recent announcement, the Mercantile Exchange St. Louis area will be a massive redevelopment of the downtown core and it is expected that over four hundred and fifty million dollars will be spent over the next decade in the renovation and re-development of the area grounds now called the Mercantile Exchange. A large area, MX St. Louis will cover only nine square blocks which is the old St. Louis Centre and the area is bounded by four main prestigious avenues from the early days of the city: Broadway, Lucas, 8th St and Olive Street. The Mercantile Exchange is going to be the happening area, where all the newest and most important redevelopment properties in St. Louis downtown are happening at the MX. From the Ballpark Village to the Washington Ave Loft District and from the Post Office District and the Lumiere Place, the St. Louis Mercantile Exchange or MX community is going to be a ball of fun watching during the development stages.

The redevelopment plans for Mercantile Exchange
The downtown area is planned to be zoned for a monumental re-development real estate plan that has never been undertaken in the city of St. Louis MO. From over five hundred and twenty five thousand square feet of office space (graded Class A) to a large boutique hotel of over two hundred guest suites as well as four hundred and fifty thousand sq ft of retail space, the Mercantile Exchange downtown St. Louis masterplanned community is going to be an economic and tourist engine driving the economy of the city. In addition to this, the master plan calls for MX condo tower homes and will include one hundred and seventy five Mercantile Exchange condo residences, the first being the Laurel presales luxury condos in Saint Louis. In addition, there will be one hundred and twenty planned residential apartments in the heart of the MX St. Louis which will be rental suites. With tree lined streets, glass and steel high-rise towers, lots of retail, coffee bistros, restaurants and an urban vibe, the downtown St. Louis MX district is bound to become one of the signature master built communities in all of the united States and will ultimately transform the city core for the better. The team behind the vision, development and planning includes General Growth and Pyramid Properties. The MX district of Mercantile Exchange will be home to many summer festivals, concerts, sports events and cultural shows as it will become a meeting place for residents of St. Louis and tourists. In addition, many of the buildings in the Mercantile Exchange will keep historic landmark architecture of the turn of the century to give it more character and uniqueness. Currently, the MX district is taking priority registrations for the luxury condos at the Laurel MX.
